Cationic reagent is one of raw material of AKD neutral sizing agent .Tiancheng Chemical leads the top of the world in AKD output and quality , who not only has AKD customer group but also use cationic reagent .  We researched and developed together with Tongji university and Inner Mongolia university , started to produce cationic reagent .

 Cationic reagent/CR-2000 are aqueous solutions of monomer (3-chloro-2- hydroxypropyl) trimethylammonium chloride (CHPTAC). Cationic reagent are clear,odorless liquids.It is used to modify natural and syntheti polymers into quaternary ammonium compounds. It is used industrially for chemical processing of personal-care products, pulp and paper, textiles, and for water management.

The product appearance is transparent liquid, colorless and tasteless, the impurity content is low, is less than 10ppm.

Action mechanism of CR-2000

Cationic modifiers are generally quaternary ammonium compounds with active groups. The cellulose contains a certain number of hydroxyl groups. Under alkaline conditions, the cationic modifier can react with these hydroxyl groups to make the surface of the fiber positively charged. The surface of the fiber provides a certain "dye seat", so that the negatively charged reactive dye is adsorbed on the surface of the fiber by electrostatic attraction, so that the reactive dye can dye the fiber. The attraction between the dye and the fiber is enhanced, the dyeing speed is increased, and the degree to which the dye molecules in the dye liquor are dyed to the fiber is improved.

1.Introduction:Cationicreagent  is a multiapplication of fine chemical product. Its main ingredient is a trimethyl(3 - chloro - 2 - hydroxypropyl) ammonium chloride. Its formula is C6H15Cl2NO with molecular weight 188.10.

3.Application:

 

 In alkaline conditions etherification agent transformed into the epoxy structure immediately, reacts with cationic starch, guar gum, and other matrix to achieve cationization. Polymers with etherification groups have cationic properties, which enable them to
1) Increase adhesion; 
2) Increase the affinity of anionic substances; 
3) Increase the solubility of water-insoluble substances.

(1)      Papermaking Industry

 

As an important auxiliary agent, cationic reagent is widely applied to starch, cellulose, and chitosan chemical modification. The cationic starch, which is etherification modified from raw starch, can be used as the paper's surface sizing agent, retention and filtration aid, enhancer and so on. It is a kind of papermaking additives with great dosage.

 

 

 

(2)      Water Treatment Industry

 

The electronegative suspended solids of water can react with liquid CTA and get cationic macromolecule. As flocculant, it can be widely used in the purification of water
